Hmmn Interesting

The gritty-bit sounds are pretty appealing, normally when people go for it they really let the simplicity die by modulating and destroying the essentially crisp sound the had to start with.

Pretty basic, but I dig it!

Keep it up

Jirohbomb responds:

Thanks for the review. Glad you like it. Keep up.

Hey man!

Idk I loved the intro personally... sounded like a great buildup for a hardstyle song. I'd definitely separate the first 10 seconds into its own thing.

X-Dream responds:

Yeah maybe, but I was thinking on transitioning it and make it longer like 25sec or so. Of course with variations.

Thanks for your oppinion!

Kinda coarse

But I can digg coarse grungy chaotic awesome house too. The filtering and side-chain helps it.

ReziUze responds:

Cheers

Nice to hear a Bass

Done the right way.

Now give us some vocals

one day!

The dub is awesome

But the DnB could use some work... it's only displeasing in the sense that it doesn't quite live up to the awesomeness of the Dub. The bass is spot on, maybe a bit more deep EQing, and less variation in the DnB sect.

Keep it up though, practice makes perfect. I'd suggest you check out Noisia & Spor for some DnB inspiration.

thanks alot! ima definetly check em out!

Man us Trancers can't get any love

I love the piano, so sick. The bass & drum set could use some work.. but you nailed that piano in a way that many can't ever do!

Keep it up man, find that sweet spot! Don't forget to EQ

DJ-Firepoint responds:

I agree with you on the drum point; i was using headphones for literally all of this, and they made the drums sound... different. The bass suffered a bit when I was exporting this, but I couldnt use a higher quality. Took ages playing around with the reverb and delay on the pianos, though, so I'm glad it paid off. =)

Nice hard feeling

Man I love that nitty gritty hard type of trance, yet this once carries such a subtle melody.

Props to that, keep it up.

djInTheDark responds:

Yeah, I really tried to give it a nice drive with out it sounding like some residual hard trance song that everyone has already heard and is sick of. I also wanted there to be a definite "background" to it, rather than have everything right out in front of your face and you screaming "I don't know what to listen to first!! AHH!!!"

But yeah I thought it was a great turn out, especially for the contest, even though I was ONE FRIGGIN POINT AWAY for the top 5.

Ah well, next year is coming soon. Thx for the review!

OKaayyyyY!!!!!!!!!!

Not bad not bad. The beat is catchy, kind of minimal but still pretty fly. I'd definitely say this track is a solid one, so don't touch it anymore haha. Let's see what some other tracks could sound like!

ONESTEPAHEAD responds:

ha thanks :D

Those drums..

Nice job on the Drums, the rest of the track is pretty nice as well. I certainly get a feeling of depth to this piece, but the static I could personally do without.

ectsoman responds:

Lol, alright, I wanted to give it an old kind of feel so I added in some Vinyl static, but If you aren't diggin' it I guess I'll take it out :D

Alright!

I wasn't expecting to come across another one quite so soon, great stuff once again!

KKSlider60 responds:

Million thanks! This track was made right after "Cosmopolis" was done, and since I was kind of fresh and full of ideas back in the days, there we have this.
Maybe I'm still in time to make a trilogy... :D

Have a nice day,
KKS
